Project Ropa - Clothing That Empowers Lives.

The Spread Good Squad was fortunate enough to spend a few days with Project Ropa in Los Angeles.

We joined them as they brought clothing, hygiene kits, and happiness to people experiencing homelessness in LA. Caitlin Adler, Project Ropa's founder, shared with us why what they do is so important.

"What is Project Ropa?
We are a free mobile hygiene service that brings clean clothing, hygiene kits, hand sanitizer, face masks, food and water directly to people experiencing homelessness in the Greater Los Angeles area."

"Project Ropa is the only nonprofit organization of its kind in Los Angeles: our mission is to restore dignity and empower the lives of people experiencing homelessness in Los Angeles by providing clean clothes, hygiene essentials, and employment opportunities while reducing textile waste and minimizing our carbon footprint.

Our retrofitted van, functioning as a mobile walk-in closet, carries hope as well as a full selection of clothes, shoes, accessories and hygiene products.

To further our mission and help break the cycle of homelessness, we provide transitional job opportunities to people with barriers to employment, including homeless and previously incarcerated individuals."

Not only were we inspired by Project Ropa, Caitlin, and her entire team, but we got to meet so many great people who explained to us how much Project Ropa was helping them and others. It was such a pleasure meeting so many great souls. We even donated a bunch of our own clothes to help out!
